Karen P. Boone joined Dismuke & Waters as a Paralegal in 2007. Karen has over 30 years of paralegal experience and supports our firm's lawyers in all phases of estate planning and probate execution. Karen assists in wealth preservation by the use of highly complex estate planning, as well as forming and funding corporate entities. Karen primarily assists in handling complex probate cases, from the beginning stages of filing necessary probate documents by mandated deadlines; administration and distribution of the assets of the estate; and filing of IRS Form 706 for Federal Estate Tax Returns.
Karen graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor's of Business Administration with a Minor in Finance. Karen also has her Paralegal Associates Degree and is a NALA Certified Paralegal, a nationally revered Paralegal Association in which Karen is an active member of.
Karen is a native New Yorker, but has grown to love Texas as her home over the last 30 years. Karen spends her free time cooking and spending time with her family. Karen particularly enjoys gardening, yielding impressive crops each season. Karen also enjoys classic movies and is a devoted fan of Turner Classic Movies, in which she is also a member of.
